Enthusiastic preliminary meetings weae held last night at the Theatre Royal and at Burwood in reference to the verdict recently delivered in the Bulletin libel case, and resolutions were passed at both meetings that subscription lists be opened to indemnify the proprietors of the paper for the costs of the trial, which are estimated at £1200. One hundred pounds were promised at the Theatre Royal meeting, and over £20 at Burwood. Large meetings are being organised to carry out the resolutions.
