MELBOURNE.
May 20. The detached squadron arrived off Cape Otway to-day. The Victorian statistics prepared from the census returns shew that the area of land devoted to wheat crops has increased 220,000 acres since the last census. The yieid has, however, decreased during the same period by 265,000 bushels. May 21.
In the Legislative Assembly yesterday the debate on the Reform Bill was resumed, but was subsequently adjourned without any decision having been arrived at.
