A man named Anders Jansen, who left Fitzherbert gold-diggings on Saturday week for Palraerston, has not arrived. A search party have been out looking for him without success.

Charles Anderson, prospector for the Hit or Miss Company, came into town on Saturday with a splendid specimen ot quartz in which gold was plainly visible to tbe naked eve.

Mr M'Minn, editor of the Standard, swore on Saturday four criminal informations against the editor of thePalraerston Times. Cross informations will be laid.
