Mr Mcllwraith, the Premier, telegraps from London that he believes he will be abie to come to terms regarding the trancontinental railways within one week on a basis of £IO,OGO for the western, and £12,000 for the gulf land per mile. Mr Mcllwraith reports regarding the steel rails committee that he has called no witnesses, as he is satisfied his case has been proved by his adversaries. Hesads next week on his return voyage to Queensland.
