PROPOSED VOLUNTEER ENCAMPMENT.
[To the TMito;? of the Daily TEtESUAPH.] Sir,—As the EaEter holidays will in a fcbort time be here, I think it is only proper that an encampment of our local volunteers should be held (say atPetane). It is for the benefit of the.companies that these meetings should happen, at least once a year. They have taken place in all other provinces, and why not here ? It would be an incentive to volunteering, and I should like to see a meeting of officers called to arrange for an encampment.—l am, &c., Volunteer. Napier, March 24, 1881.
