TIMARU.

March 18

At the Magistrate's Court this morning, G. Robson, a butcher's assistant, was charged with robbing a laborer named Miller of his watch and chain while he was asleep in the hotel bar. The accused denied the theft, and said the prosecutor was drunk, and that he took the watch away and pawned it merely for safe keeping. He was committed for trial.
