March 15,
The GoTernor, accompanied by the Mayor, visited the public institution at 245 p.m., and received an address from the Corporation. His Excellency afterwards held a levee in the Town Hall.
The Railway Hotel at Lawrence was burnt down yesterday. The building was insured in the New Zealand office for £500, and the stock in the National office for £-300.
