The Union Pteamship Company's s.?. Arawnta, Captain W. C. Sinclair, arrived here from Sydney via Northern ports yesterday at daybreak. She left Sydney on the 3rd instant at 4.15 p.m., and arrived at Russell on the 9th at 3 p.m.; coaled, and left that night, arriving at AuekLnd the next forenoon ; left again on the 10th at 8 p.m., called at Gisborne on the 12th, and arriving hero as above. Experienced fine weather during the run across, and N. winds, with considerable sea, while coining clown the coast. Her cargo, some GO tons, was lightered ashore by the ketch Admiral. She steamed for Southern ports, Hobart, and Melbourne, taking a quantity of cargo, including several hogsheads of ale of local brew, for Lyttelton.
The steamer Kiwi, Capt. James rampbell, loft for CHsborne at noon yesterday taking a number of passengers, and a quantity of general cargo, eight rams, and a valuable bull. Hie is to leave that port to-night, and may be looked for early to-morrow mornm?, Failing again at about .10 o'clock fov Wellington. The s.s. Fairy left for Pourerere on Friday night with a load of grass seed. The Union Steamship Company's s.s. Albion, Captain F. W. Chatfield, 'arrived here from Southern ports yesterday afternoon about 3 o'clock. Mr S. Moor, the purser, has kindly furnished us with the following report of passage : —Left Port Chalmers on the 9tli inst. at 5 p.m. —having transhipped the mails, passengers, and cargo of the steamer Eingarooma from Melbourne, which left there on the Ist instant —and arrived at Lyttelton on the 10th at 1.15 p.m. ; left at'9.3o p.m., and reached Wellington on the 11th at 6 p.m., left again on the 12th at 2.30 p.m., and arrived hero as above. Experienced very strong head winds and sea until making Wellington, thence had little wind, but the same head sea prevailed during the greater portion of the passage. The steamer Sir Donald lightered her cargo, Borne 40 tons. She got away for Northern ports shortly after 8 o'clock, taking the Poverty Bay' Bowing Club's two racing gigs, as well as some general cargo,
The s.s. Bestdt left for Wairoa at 9 o'clock this morning, taking two passengers, and a full load of posts, palings, and general cargo. The s.s. Maori, Captain Anderson, is to leave for Wairoa to-night at about 9 o'clock. The s.s. Sir Donald is loading posts for Faivy Bay, and will probably leave to-night. The Union Company's s.s. Boojum, Capt. Alfied Dowell, is to leave for Wairoa at 11 o'clock to-morrow morning. The three-masted schooner Mary Wadley, Capt. J. '; P. Balle arrived in the Bny at about 11 o'clock this morning, but had. not been communicated with up to the time our report left the Spit. She is from Newcastle with a load of coal.
The lighters Sir Donald and Admiral discharged their cargoes ex the Sunday Union boats at the breastwork to-day.

The Union Company's s.s. Eotomahana arrived at the Bluff at 6 a.m. to-day. She left Melbourne at 3 p.m. on the Bth, and arrived at Hobart at 11 a.m., and experienced moderate southerly weather until arrival. Passengers for Napier — Mrs Garner and infant, Mr Frank Simon, and two steerage.
