ANOTHER NUISANCE.
LTo the Editor of the Dail_ TeleGUAPh.] Sir,—Nuisances appear to be on the increase in Napier. Owners of horses, such as butchers, milksellers, and others whose business leads them to deliver goods to the houses on the hills and suburbs of Napier, find that there is one of the greatest nuisances to be met with in the presence of a donkey that a gentleman has lately imported, only it is said, that he may have what is different to any other person here. This miserable specimen of its kind, by its frightful noise and odd looks, causes horses to shy and startle, making it extremely dangerous to pedestrians, horsemen, and drivers, in those narrow lanes where the beast is usually to be met. If there were any good for the animal, it might be excused, but when the thing is only kept apparently to amuse a child, I fail to see that it is anything short of a decided nuisance. —I am, &c, A Dkivek. Napier, March 1, 1881.
