AUCKLAND.
January 26. The Governor left Ohinemutu yesterday for Whakarewareware, en route to Rotomahana. At Te Wairoa, Kepa te Rangipuawhe, and other chiefs of tbe Tuhourangi tribe led their people out along tbe road to meet the vice-regal party, and returned singing songs of welcome amid evergreen arches, flags, and splendid weather. Capt. Mair accompanied the Governor through the native districts. The natives held a monster meeting yesterday to consider the course of action to be* taken at the Lands Court, but nothing fwas settled. Probably there will be a great row between the rival claimants.
