The eighth annual session of the Wesleyan Conference was opened last night, twenty-six members being present. The retiring president the Rev. 11. Lee, delivered an address, referring to tbe progress of the past year, and the business before the meeting. The election of officers was proceeded with. The Rev. J. B. Richardson, of St. Albans, was elected president by a large majority. The first ballot for secretary lay between the Rev. W. Morley and R. Bavio, but at the former's request the latter was elected. The Rev. H. J. Williams was appointed asssistant secretary, the Rev. T. G. Carr journal secretary, and tbe Rev. G. Bond corresponding secretary. The newlyelected president was then inducted, and delivered an address. A cordial vote of thanks was passed to the president and secretary. The Revs. Buddie, Lee, Morley, and others, addressed the meeting, aud the Rev. Mr Buddie, who recently returned frora England, was cordially welcomed, and gave an interesting accouut of his home experiences.
