At the inquest on tbe body of a tailor named Taylor, who fell from the Bluff wharf, a verdict of accidental death was recorded.
The agent of Cole's circus, before leaving for Melbourne, was made to pay over £10 for (he paddock used here, of which he took possession without leave. The amount was given to the Hospital. Mr J. T. Thomson, late SurveyorGeneral owned the land.
