Intercolonial Conference to-day adopted a resolution that a request should be Sent to tbe Imperial authorities that the number- of vessels of thenavy in Australian waters should be increased. t The resolution of the Hon. Morgan, Chief Secretary of South in favor of a uniform tariff for the colonies based on that of New South Wales, was {brought forward, but at the instance of jMr Berry its discussion was adjourned until the rest of the programme is disposed of.
