The following Exhibition awards are announced :—-William E. Foster, Christchurch, for life-saving vest; Lyttelton Harbor Board, for model of Lyttelton Harbor, showing vvorks and improvements; Thomas Thomson, of the Bluff, for models of ship's compasses, anchors, &c.; Piers Elliot Warburton, of Palmerston Norths for canvas boat. Third prizes: John Blackett, Wellington, for lighthouse chart; Thomas George, Dunedin, for plans and soundings of OtagO harbor, Thomas Hargreaves, Nelson, for model wave power engine ; Captain Halliday, Wellington, for. plan of Wellington harbor ; G. H. Luxford, Wellington, for model of Maori canoe; W. McLellan, Dunedin, for working model of boat with propeller; John Waymouth, Aucklaud, for models of yachts
January 19. The following Exhibition awards are announced to-day: — Third prizes: Thomas J. Harbutt, for brushware; Michael Sullivan, of Dunedin, for baskets. Fifth prizes: Professor Parker, of the Otago Museum, for specimens of sea crayfish preserved in a special manner, and also a fifth prize to A. Mervin, of Dunedin.
