AUCKLAND.

January 15

The Governor has proceeded to Kawau on a vieit to Sir George Grey. It is reported that Sir G. (irey will make a trump card next session of the Patetere land question, and will address meetings throughout the colony prior to next session.

Tawhaio, the Maori King, recently held a meeting, and appointed deputies to preserve the peace. He orders that Messrs McLean and Tole are not to be dispossessed of Horahoro. Mr McLean has made dispositions to resist any attempt to expel him from his land.
