(Before Capt. Precce, R.M.) DRUNKENNESS.

Charles Johnson was charged with drunkenness, and fined 5s and costs, or 48 hours imprisonment.

LUNACY. Thomas Houston, on remand for lunacy, through a fit of delirium tremens, was on the certificate of the medical men, discharged as being now of sound mind. '

CIVIL CASES. The following civil cases were decided :—

Leonard v. Henare Tapuaea, claim £10 12s Gd. Mr Lee appeared for the plaintiff, and Mr Lascelles for the defendant. Plaintiff's solicitor stated that this case had been brought in the Court before . J against Arihi te Nahu and plaintiff was non-suited owing to her having been married to the present defendant. Judgment was given for the plaintiff with costs and *' counsel's fee. Johnston v. Hume, claim £19 12s tfd -JM for board. Judgment was given for the^^M plaintiff by default for amount claimed and costs. _^bJ In the following cases judgment was given for plaintiff by default. k^LM Receiver of Rates v. JUDGMENT SUMMONSES. Blair Bros, v P. Parker, claim £16 4s 6. Mr Lascelles appeared for tbe plaintiffs. Defendant proved bb inability to pay the amount, and plai tifh were non-suited. Beniamin v. Manacna Tiui. Defendant was ordered to pay amount claimed within 14 days, or go to gaol for one month. The civil ca?e, Sutton v. Stuart, was adjourned by consent of counsel till Thursday next. The Court then rose.
