THE SPECIAL MEETING.
[To the Editor of tho Daily Te&eguapii.l Sir, —My attention has just been directed to a letter from "Ratepayer" in your Issue of last evening. That gentleman says that at the meeting of the Borough Council held on Wednesday I was forced to alter the date of a notice of a special meeting called for the 14th instant. Allow me to say that " Ratepayer " is quite mistaken. I was not forced to do it, and I did not do it.—l am, &c, The Town Clerk. Napier, January 7, 1881.
