WELLINGTON.

January 5. A difference has arisen between the agents of the local steamers and their crews. The seamen and firemen of the steamer Huia refused to go to sea last night unless they received a distinct promise that their demands requiring a limitation of the working hours in prrt, and payment for overtime, be acceded to. The agents refused, and the seamen left in a body. The steamer is detained, but it is probable that a new crew will be shipped to-day, and the steamer will then get away.
