The principal effort was directed by lighter-bombers against enemy columnniealimis, road, rail mid water, over it wide area extending from Nantes in the west to Cainlirni in the east. Considerable damage was caused to trains, tracks, barge and motor transport ami llak-tbrowers in tlie Angers, Tours ami Laval urea.
