OUTSIDE APPRECIATION
' A letter from a hospital ship sister, telling how much the league comforts box was appreciated by patients, was read at the Victoria League luncheon in Wellington yesterday. Airs. L. O. IL Tripp, a vice-president, presided in the absence of Airs. J. A. Doctor, president, and welcomed 80 guests, who included a Christchurch visitor, Mrs. AV. 8. Beau. Airs. Bean congratulated the league on the successful gatherings it arranged, specially these middav efforts. Since hearing of tlm AVellington league's luncheons, the younger contingent: members .in Christchurch bad decided to hold similar gatherings. Alarigolds. fern, forget-me-nots and pansies decoratisl the tables. Ihe luncheon hostess being Airs. B. T. Osborue.
