Reorganization Proposals Under Discussion Proposals recently put forward for the reorganization of the fire services of the Dominion, and the disbandment of the E.F.S.. have been under discussion for several days by the executive of the United Fire Brigades* Association, meeting in Wellington. Representations are to lie made-today to the Minister of Internal Affairs, who is in charge of the administration of the Fire Brigades Act. suggesting a modification of the conditions as they apply to the smaller country brigades, and also the disposal of emergency fire-lighting equipment. It is expected that about io trader pumps will be made available to tho smaller towns, representing about half the total number of fire brigades active in New Zealand.
