WELLINGTON DOMAINS

The Wellington City Council held its annual meeting as a domain board yesterday. The mayor,’Mr. Appleton, reported receipts from Scorching Bay domain to be £3OS, but shortage of labour had prevented work there during the past year. Fencing and general maintenance had been carried out at Khandallah domain. but there were no receipts. For Johnston’s Hill domain, Karori, receipts were £5O, but no work was done due to the labour shortage. Cr. R. L. Maealister said there ’was £2OO on this year’s estimates for improvements at Johnston’s Hill. He was hopeful there would be labour to do these.
