There was a keen contest for the United Nations Handicap, which went to CatterlcK Bridge in a close finish with Boulder Dam and Indian Sport. The early pace was slow, Ivar and Catterick Bridge taking turns in tbc lead. Ivar was in charge from the half-mile, but he gave way to Indian Sport, who had charge turning for home from Ivar, Boulder Dam Rfnnelr, and Grcenfenst. About half a furlong from home Ivar. Indian Sport, Boulder Dam, Catterick Bridge and Greenfenst were practically in line, but right on the post Catterick Bridge finished a little more solidly than the others and won by half a length from Boulder Dam, who beat Indian Sport bv half a neck. Ivar was a elode fourth, with Kinnell and Greenfaast next. Though cut back In the early running, Roto Parera, a maiden, finished with R solid run to win the Army Handicap. I’iko Piko led to the straight, but halfway down the running Kincrop had taken bis measure and appeared set for a win. Finishing well. Roto Parera wore him down, and under a vigorous ride won by a neck. Piko Piko battled on for third, with Walk Off fourth, and then camo Aloud), Desert Ace, and Gale Duchesse.
