Increase In Rates Of Pay
The first alteration of wage rates for lower-paid categories of ■workers authorized by the recent amendment to the Stabilization Regulations was gazetted last night. It. is the Agricultural Workers Wage Fixation Order, 1944, which is to be effective from 1. at'which date the following weekly increases iu wages for dairy-farm employees will apply : — Workers under 17 years, from £l/4/6 to £l/11/9; 17 and under IS, from £l/11/6 to £2/0/9: 18 and under 19, from £l/18/6 to £2/9/9; 19 and under 20, £2/6/- to £2/19/6; 20 aud under 21, from £2/13/- to £3/8/-; over 21, from £3 to £3/17/6. The lodging allowance is unchanged at £l. ______
