CHARGE AGAINST BOY
No Stay Of Proceedings (By Telegraph.—Press Association.! CHRISTCHURCH, June 29. “The application to the Attorney-Gen-eral for ,a stay of proceedings in this case has been declined and a fixture has been made for July 6 at Timaru,” said Senior-Detective H. Nuttall in the Magistrates’ Court this morning, when John Arthur Carey, farm hand, aged 17, was charged that, on January 27 at Mount Nimrod he attempted to murder Isabel Mai Howell. Carey, who was represented by Mr. A. B. Hobbs', was remanded by Mr. Levvey, S.M., to appear nt Tinnirn on*July 6.
