FAR EAST AIR FORCES
New Zealand Units’ Not Included (Received June 18, 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 28.. The creation of the Far \ East Air Forces with headquarters in Australia will not affect the Royal New Zealand Air Force, which will remain in -the South Pacific, and is not embraced by the Far East Air Forces. This was officially announced from General MacArthur’s headquarters. The change brings under a single comamnd the American Thirteenth Air Force, which fought the successful campaign against the Japanese in the South Pacific and the American Fifth Air Force, which established Allied air mastery in the South-west Pacific.
