VOCATIONAL GUIDANCE
The following resolution was adopted at the annual meeting of the Island Bay Home mid School Association:— (1) That the Government be requested to give an undertaking that the Vocational Guidance Service will be restricted to a purely advisory servieor 12) That all records' will remain at all times strictly confidential between the Vocational Guidance Cent re mid Ihe parents, ns agaitist all other persons or Government departments. Ci) That the records will not nt. any time lie used as a moans of bringing any degree of compulsion, cither actual or constructive, to bear on parents or children in the selection of the future course of their eilifctttlou or employment. An address was given by Mr. Brooks on educational mid vocational cards The following officers were elected:—President, Mrs. IV. .1. C. Kinloch: vicepresident, Mr. W. J. Thomson: lion, secretary and treasurer. Mrs. B. Petrie: hon. auditor, Mr. H. 11. Waugh; committee. Mcsdamos Swan, Zander, Taylor. Thomson, Hand. Dunne, Messrs. Petrie, Barrows, Putter, Burgess, Turney, Miller liud Miss Hughes.
