St. John Nursing Cadets The acting-commissioner for New Zealand. Mr. F. Ward, and the commissioner for the Wellington district. Mr. W. W. Dutton, presented trophies gained in recent corps competitions at a social this week for nursing cadets of the Wellington corps. St. John Ambulance Brigade. Grand Prior badges, the highest award to be won by St. John Ambulance cadets, were presented to the following cadets ot Miramar C.N.D.. Margaret Weetman, Frances O’Donoghue. Elsie Taylor, Lorraine Punier. Nola Murray, Jean Craig, Rae Wood. Margaret Powell and Patricia Phipps. Supper was prepared by members of the Island Bay nursing division. Musical games were Played ““fi tions were given by Mavis Todd. v\ ellington C.N.D., Dorothy Paul, Johnsonville C.N.D., and Hazel Compton, Hataitai, C.N.D. Trophies were presented as follows:— Malta Cup (presented to most efficient nursing cadet division at annual inspection) : Island Bay Cadet Nursing Division. Osborn Cup (11 teams competed): Miramar A aud Wellington South, 1 equal: St. Paul's C.N.D., 3. Home Nursing Shield (10 teams competed): Island Bay, 1; Johnsonville and Miramar B, 2 equal. R. G. Wilson Cup (13 teams competed): Inland Bay, 1; Wellington A, 2; Miramar A, o. St. George Cup (nine teams competed): Hataitai, 1; Wellington South. 2; Wellington, 3. Wellington Corps Cup (seven teams competed): Island Bay, 1; Miramar, 2: Hataitai, 3. Conway Individual Cup •(20 entries): Cicely Mackie, Island Bay, !• Doreen White, Johnsonville, aud Shirltjy Robinson, St. Paul’s, 2 equal.
