Sir Joseph and Lady Ward returned to Christchurch from Wellington yesterday.
Dr. P. P. Lynch left Wellington yesterday for the South Island. Mr. W. W. Mulholland. Dominion pre; sident: of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, left Wellington for the south yesterday.
Canon H. O. T. Hanby, vicar of Aniberley, has retired from active parochial work, and will be succeeded by tho Rev. J. S. 11. Perkins. C.E., who recently returned from service in the Pacific.
