NAZI CHANNEL FORCES

Substantial Destruction

(Received June 25, 9 p.m.) LONDON, June 24. Final assessment of air photographs show that 80 vessels were put out of action at Le Havre and Boulogne in the Bomber Command’s day and night attacks on June 14 and 15, says the Air Ministry. Vessels destroyed included minesweepers. E-boats, naval auxiliaries, lighters and harbour craft. It is clear that the raids eliminated a substantial proportion of the Germans’ Channel forces.
