NEW ITALIAN CABINET SWORN IN
LONDON, June 22. It is reported from Naples that Priuce Umberto swore in the new Italian Cabinet today. The Prince saw the Prime Minister and 15 Ministers sign the oath (o serve the supreme interests of the nation. They were not asked to take the oath of allegiance to the House of Savoy. The new commissioner for Rome has announced his intention of getting rid of all Fascist elements in the Administration. “I gave orders this morning that all were to be thrown out.” he said.
President Roosevelt has signed the Armed Services Bill of Rights. He said: “This Bill gives emphatic notice to the men and women of our armed forces that the American peonle don’t intend to let them down.” The President said he wanted one thing more for service veterans —the extension of social security credits on old age pension and survivors’ insurance for the time spent in the armed services.
