TALLY OF NINE PLANES

CAIRO, June 19.

A tally of nine enemv aircraft to his credit is considered by Squadron Leader K. G. Hart, Invercargill, as a compensation for having been forced to bale out over France during the air coverage of Dunkirk and again during a dogfight over the south of England. Hart joined the R.A.F. in 1938 and saw service in France, England, the Western Desert, the Sudan, Eritrea and Italy. His gunner is also a New Zealander, Flight Sergeant R. J. Frizzell, Christchurch, who is quite a veteran in twoengined bombers. In the same squadron is u third New Zealander. Warrant Officer H. S. McCullum, Opunuke, who is an observer.
