Creation In U.S.A. I Received June 19. 9 p.m.) WASHINGTON, June IS.

A 12-raan committee of the army and navy scientific experts is beginning this week the creation of a scientific high command' ranking with the army and navy command staffs. It is hoped that the new organization will lie responsible for new and daring ideas of warfare, and will not be open to a charge of brasshat conservatism or interference. The chairman of the committee is Mr. Charles E. Wilson, who is vice-chairman of the War Production Board. The other members are Dr. J. O. 'Hunsaker, of the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics, Messrs. F. B. Jewett, the Bell Telephone research chief, Karl Compton, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and’ M. A. Tuve, of the Carnegie Institute. The navy panel of four is headed by Bear-Admiral Julius Furer, Co-ordinator of Naval Research, and the army panel is headed by BrigadierGeneral W. F. Tompkins. Director of Special Planning for the General Staff. One of the moving spirits behind the undertaking is Dr. Vanncvar Bush, of the Office of Scientific Research, which has worked very secretly producing new war weapons.
