Sandy Cape, who has been running lair races on the Hat, made a successful return to hurdle racing when he won the Spitfire Hurdles easily from Hard hrost and Rhodes. Hard Frost and High .Morale made nearly all tlie pace with Pom pit getting the run of the race behind them. Abdicate, Sandy Cape and All In were ako handily placed for the first half of the journey. Running towmrd the straight, Pompit joined the two leaders and led for home from High Morale, Sandj- Cape, Abdicate, Northfield. Indian Sign, Rhodes aud Whero.
