(Received May 22, 10.20 p.m.) LONDON, May 22.

M. Papandreou will resign from the Premiership of Greece today, when it is expected- the King of Greece will ask him to form a new Government. Cairo radio has broadcast the following passage from M. Papandreou's closing speech at the Beirut conference: —“Common acceptance of the national programme is already achieved, and my mission has ended. I am going to Cairo to report to the King, to whom I am submitting my resignation. The initiative for forming a new Government belongs to the King.”
