Honan Counter-Thrust (Received May 22 12.30 a.m.) CHUNGKING. May 20. The Chinese in Honan Province have recaptured Kioshau, 45 miles north ot Sinyang. thus broadening the gap in the Japanese line to 40 miles, states a Chinese communique. , The Central News Agency says the encircled Loyang garrison has pushed the enemy from the town after killing and wounding 2(X)() Japanese and destroying 50 tanks in five days of savage street fighting. ■
