EVANGELICAL UNIONS
Last week representatives of the evangelical unions in the various training colleges and university colleges were in camp at Paremata. The Rev. W. E. Orange, 8.A., took the daily Bible expositions on the Book of Thessalonians, and other speakers were . Mr. Hessell Troughton, chaplain to Japanese internees, the Rev. W. Comber, M.A., the Rev. JI. Milmine, M.A.. the Rev. Ayson. Clifford. M.Sc., and Mr. G. S. Rowe, LL.B. The Rev. A. W. Armstrong conducted the welcome meeting, Sunday church, and Communion services Group discussions on oecumenicity and Christ tian Order were held. On the last day of the conference the presidential address of Dr. J. M. Laird, who is at present touring Australia, was read by Mr. Orange.
