KARORI R.S.A. BRANCH
Membership of the Karori branch of the Wellington Returned Services Association had increased by 79 in 12 months and the total had reached 326, it was stated in the report presented at the annual meeting of the branch. Men who had served in the present war were joining in increasing numbers, it was stated. At the meeting several of the younger exservicemen were elected to office. The election of officers resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr. R. A. Wright; honorary members. Messrs. B. Sutherland and J. E. M. Burnett; chairman, Mr, R. R. Hornblow*; deputy ehairman, Mr. W, K. Dallas; honorary secretary, Mr. G. Wilson; honorary treasurer, Mr. F. J. Hatcher; committee, Messrs. L. O. Benseman, Craven, W. G. F. Cummins, I. S. Johnston, E. R. Judd, R. Poutawera, E. W. Purdle, S. Roberts, R. Thomson and Welch; delegates to the W.R.S.A. council, Messrs. J. T. Adams and G. Wilson; representatives on the Karori Servicemen’s Welfare Association, Messrs. Brown and F. Christensen.
