Second Round Of Championship Games
The second round of» the Wellington Basketball Association’s championship games was played on Saturday in glorious weather. St. Anne’s, in their, first appearance in senior A grade, soundly defeated Island Bay. It was a good; fast game, marked by accurate scoring throughout. Aspro were unfortunate in losing one of their players through injury, and they completed their game against Kia Ora with eight' players, Kia Ora winning 20-17. Selectors for representative teams have been appointed as follows: —Senior A, Mrs. H. D. Muir. Mrs. A. Calder, Miss O. Wharton; senior B. Mrs. W. J. Patil. Misses 0. Stone and A. Cato; third grade. Mrs. A. H. Gorringe. Mrs. Haley and Miss J. Diack; fourth grade, Mrs. L. Jones, Mrs. F. Dawson, Misses E. Simpson and M. Chamberlain.
