BOMBING ATTACKS
Award Of Distinguished Flying Crosses Air support for, the Eighth Army and participation in bombing attacks on Europe have resulted in the award of Distinguished Flying Crosses to three New Zealand pilots, according to official advice received by Air Department. Wellington. The recipients are: Flight Lieutenant Charles M. Gibbs. Mrs, L. G. Gibbs. Taupo Road. Taumarunui (in). Acting Flight Lieutenant Keith lay-lor-Cannon. Mrs. L. L. Taylor-Cannon, Alexandra, Central Otago (in). Flying Officer Arthur N. Sanies. Mrs. J. M. Sarnes, 83 Arthur Street West, Onehunga (m). Flight Lieutenant Gibbs is 23. and before his enlistment he was employed by the Public Works Department. Flight Lieutenant Taylor-Cannon is 22. J years of age. He was ed’ieated at the Alexandra District High School, and enlisted direct from school. Flying Officer Snines, who is 26, was employed before his enlistment by Mr. 11. J. Short, builder, of Oiieliiniga.
