German Ambassador

(Received May 11, 11 p.m.) LONDON, May 11. The German Ambassador to Turkey, Herr' von Papen, returned to Istanbul accompanied by his military and commercial attaches after giving a personal report to Hitler on Turkey’s stoppage of chrome exports in spite of the fact thatGermany has paid for more than had been delivered, says the Istanbul correspondent of the Associated Press of Great Britain. Significance is attached to the fact that von Papen .was not accompanied by Dr. Claudius, who negotiated tfie original agreement under which chrome and other commodities were delivered, because the agreement expires this month.
