VETERAN BOMBER
(British Official Wireless,. RUGBY, May 9. “Mild and Bitter.” a veteran Ninth Air Force Marauder, named afted one of England’s favourite drinks, rolled down the runway on Monday night after her hundredth bombing mission—a new bombing record for British based bombers operating over the Continent. In her 100 operations she has flown more than 410 hours, more than 300 in combat, travelled approximately 58.000 miles, carried 166 of crew into battle, not one of whom has been injured during her flights.
