LIBERTY SHIPS
Proposed Reserve In Case Of Another War (Received May 10, 8 p.m.) WASHINGTON, May 9. • The Maritime Commission is studying a plan under which 1000 Liberty ships would be placed in reserve after the wiir for use in event of another war. Five hundred would be kept ready to man, fuel and sail. The remainder would have machinery packed in grease, but could be made ready quickly. A considerable market for 10-knot Liberty ships after the war is expected on trade routes which cannot support faster and more expensive ships.
