Complaints from business people in the area affected were aired at yesterday’s meeting of the Wellington City Council, when an application was received from the Communist Party for the use of amplifying equipment for meetings on the Manners Street reserve between 12 and 2 p.m. The council permitted the use of amplifiers between 12 and 1 P.m. with provision for them to be controlled.
