DAIRY PRICES
Otaki-Te Horo Resolution
Holding that the dairy produce and pig meat prices as announced by the Prime .Minister were inadequate, that compared with costs they were uneconomic and that primary production based on such a price structure could' not be increased to the target figures requested by the Minister, the Otaki-Te Horo branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union adopted at its annual meeting a resolution urging the Dominion council of the union to bring strong representations to bear on the Minister of Agriculture and Marketing to reopen the entire question of price structure with the object of paying dairyfarmers a just reward and economic prices for their produce.
