WAR ON JAPAN

Mr. Churchill May Visit Australia LONDON. May 8. An announcement of the acceptance by Mr. Churchill of an Australian invitation to visit the Commonwealth after the European war is expected shortly, says the “Daily Telegraph's" political correspondent. The visit will 'be part of a plan to hold an important war conference, which is already receiving preliminary consideration in London, the Dominion capitals, and Washington. The object of the conference will be to complete plans for the final phase of the war against Japan. It is hoped that the other Dominion Premiers and the President or some other representative ot the United States will participate in the conference, which will be similar in scope and purpose to last year’s important war consultation in Quebec, which was attended by all the leading Service chiefs.
