ALLIED COMMANDOS
Reported Landing On Italian Coast LONDON, May 8. Allied commandos based on Corsica and Sardinia have landed on the ■Ligurian sector of the Italian coast in the past few days to carry out patrols in preparation for invasion, says a correspondent of the newspaper “La Suisse” at Chiasso. The report, which emanates from neo-Fascist circles and is not confirmed from other sources, claims that some members of the patrols were killed and taken prisoner, and that others are believed to have succeeded in their mission and returned to base with information about fortifications built by the Todt organization.
