DEATH OF BOY

Trolley And Truck Collide Dominion Special Service. AUCKLAND, May 9. A sehoolbov received fatal injuries when the trolley in which he was riding was involved in a collision with a milk truck on the Great South Road near the entrance to the Westfield freezing works yesterday morning. A companion in the trolley was severely injured. The boy who lost his life was Brian Watson, aged 8, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. G- Watson, Hutton Street. Otahiihu. „ . , His companion wns Bryan O Meagher, aged 12, whose foster-mother is Mrs. D. Berkhout. 37 Princes Street, Otahuhu. The milk truck was travelling toward the citv fully loaded when the accident occurred. The boys were taken to the Auckland Hospital by ambulance after receiving attention from a district nurse. Brian Watson died five hours after being admitted to hospital. The condition of the other boy last night was serious. Besides a fracture of the left leg he has head injuries.
