In a message to Congress today President Roosevelt asked for an appropriation of 3450 million dollars for lend-leasedol-ing the fiscal year ending June 00, JJ+o. to provide industrial products veqUirel for the production of planes, tank®, guns and other war supplies in Allied countries, and also for the food and other agricultural products required to maintain their soldiers and war workers. He asked that the unexpended balances of the previous lend-lease appropriations should also be made available, a total of over 7188 million dollars, during tnc next fiscal year. Congress, has already appropriated 24,653 million dollars since lend-lease began in 1941.
