GRANT FOR EVACUEES

General Eisenhower has granted a conaiderable sum to the fund to relieve distress among the 3<M)O persons evacuated from the south-western area of Britain Itist December to provide a battle practice ground for United States. troops. Some evacuees lost not only their homes, but their livelihood.
